Turkish Dream

Insideview of turkisch community in Antwerp.

Turkey had to play against Germany for the quartfinals of the EK. Unfortunately for them, they lost. But not only turkish people supported the team. Lots of belgian people and others were there to support the Turkish team.

WELCOME

Jolien is a journalist who loves photography. For her journalism ressembles 'searching for the truth, to try to look for answers nobody ever thought of asking, try to cover the innocence of the 'accident' characters of a news coverage'. Journalism should be a way to give people a free opinion in which they can translate it on screen, on the radio or in the newspapers.

For this I've opened my blog. This blog is a place where I shall show my photographs. My aim is to contribute to a better ressemblance of the world in its forms. My character and my ambition is to be truthful at all costs. Journalism as I see it should be objective and honest. That's what I try to do with my pictures. Although it's not easy to be objective when you as a photographer are in fact a subjective person who covers a situation taken place somewhere... That's what I think is the most difficult part of journalism: to try to stay objective at all costs.

This blog is my first step towards professional photography. With this blog I also hope to improve my skills. So comments or advices are most welcome.

It sounds cliche, but I really think that a photo can say more than a thousands words. But I also believe, that a picture can manipulate reality. So you always see a picture in the eyes of the photographer.

Everything is subjective; especially life.
